Advocating for cancer prevention, research, and healthcare policies for Native American communities.

The mission of the Native American Center for Cancer Health Equity (NACCHE) is to improve cancer prevention and survival in Native American populations through comprehensive approaches including research, outreach and education, training, clinical access, and policy development. Our efforts center on principles of bidirectionality and respect for Tribal sovereignty.

The Native American Center for Cancer Health Equity
achieves its goals through multiple pillars, including:

Research: Conducting and facilitating studies to better understand and address cancer prevalence, risk factors, and outcomes specific to Native American communities.

Outreach and Education: Engaging with Native American communities to raise awareness about cancer prevention, screening, and treatment options, and providing resources and information to promote health literacy and empower Native American individuals to make informed decisions about their health.

Training: Supporting the development and capacity for the next generation of researchers to make a difference in cancer outcomes for Native American people.

Clinical Access: Improving access to quality cancer care and treatment services for Native American individuals and communities.

Policy Development: Advocating for policies that support cancer prevention, research, and healthcare delivery tailored to the needs of Native American populations.
